- Getting Good Image Data
- Basic Image Processing
- What makes a good image
- Equipment Selection and use
- .......and many Processing Tutorials, Hints, and Techniques
This workshop is Friday, September 16, the day before PATS--the Pacific Astronomy and Telescope Show. We are at the same location in Pasadena, California. RAW2011 attendees may purchase PATS tickets at a reduced price. Many imaging equipment and software vendors will show off their wares at PATS, and you will want to be there.
Thanks to support from our sponsors, and especially Apogee Instruments, QSI, FLI, and Woodland Hills, we will have door prizes again this year!
Our small workshops provide time to visit with the presenters and ask questions. You also have time to meet informally with other imagers and share experiences.
RAW 2011 will have five sessions, with two presentations each session, one general and one advanced. You are free to attend whichever presentation you prefer, and mix the general and advanced strands.
Early-Bird registration costs $85 and ends September 1. Members of the Riverside Astronomical Society receive a $20 discount. (If you are not a member, you may join the RAS for $20 and receive the discount, making your first year membership "free.") In addition, you will want to join us for lunch at the Paseo Colorado. Registration includes entry in the drawing for more than $5000 in door prizes. Registration can be done online (here) or by mail (here) or on the day of the workshop.
